History
Jeffrey and Laura established Mayhook Law in 2001—the same year they officially tied the knot. Since then, they have facilitated the success of many innovative fiber and wireless network projects, ranging from rural to urban, subsea to challenging terrain. Jeffrey’s trial lawyer instincts and Laura’s transactional skills have proved an effective combination for finding practical solutions to complex issues. Mayhook Law’s practice has mirrored the trends of the telecom industry over the past two decades — including interconnection arbitrations and hotly-contested regulatory proceedings; debt and equity financings; mergers and acquisitions; and custom-build private networks. Over the same time, Jeffrey and Laura have enjoyed their greatest satisfaction in raising a family together, finding time for many adventures and creative pursuits, and still managing to surprise each other now and then.
